As I combine the initial emotions felt upon encountering the scene with the ever-changing landscape and my imaginative interpretation captured on the canvas, the image transcends its original subject. It becomes lines, shapes, and rhythms and fills the space, forming a painting of intangible elements that elude capture. Like a faint shadow passing over the floor, the light brushstrokes of diluted paint glide across the paper. As the paint is absorbed into the moist surface, it spreads and leaves delicate, ephemeral traces of fragile colors, as if they will soon disappear. The iterative process of paint being absorbed, settling, and drying on the paper embodies time itself.
